This fund honors Dr. Minoru Tamashiro, professor emeritus at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa, College of Tropical Agriculture, Department of Entomology. Dr. Tamashiro is a world-renowned entomologist and teacher who made exceptional contributions to graduate education and pest management of termites and crop pests. Many of his students have gained international prominence in entomology.

The purpose of this fund is to assist students enrolled in the entomology graduate program at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa, College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources. Preference shall be given to students with thesis or dissertation programs on household, structural, or crop pest management. |
