History:  Helen Yonge Lind’s maiden name, YONGE, is the very old English spelling of YOUNG. Her English ancestors stubbornly retained the old spelling through the centuries. Helen is a 1931 graduate of the Kamehameha School for Girls, before Kamehameha became coeducational, and in 1935 she was awarded a BS in Home Economics at UH Manoa

Description:  This Fund is established to support students pursuing a degree or certificate in career and technical education programs at any community college campus within the University of Hawai‘i System. Funds shall be used for costs associated with attendance (e.g. tuition, books, fees, etc.).
Level:  Undergraduate
High School:  Hawaii high school graduate or passed the Hawaii GED test. Preference given to recent high school graduates.
Residency:  Hawai'i residents
GPA:  Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above
Enrollment Status:  Full-time or Part-time
