| Description: |
The purpose of this Fund is to provide scholarships to students pursuing studies in pediatric nursing at the School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene, University of Hawaii at Manoa. Recipients must be enrolled full-time have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (academic merit), and have some degree of financial need (not necessarily as defined by federal guidelines). This Fund will also provide funding for faculty support which could include, but is not limited to, summer teaching stipends, increased hiring of nursing faculty in order to increase enrollment, visiting faculty positions, and other opportunities that enable the School's faculty members to expand their knowledge and teaching abilities. The Dean will determine the use of funds (within the stated purpose) according to the School's highest priority need each year. |
