This academic scholarship was established in 1989 by Kane Fernandez, a University of Hawai`i alumnus and prominent Honolulu businessman, who followed in the footsteps of his father, the legendary Hawai`i carnival and fair operator E.K. Fernandez.

Description: |
Provide twenty $1,000.00 scholarships (along with University of Hawaii tuition waivers) to graduating high school seniors in Hawaii who have been accepted to the University of Hawaii campus of their choice. |
