Allene E. F. Chun Endowed Scholarship

History:  Allene Chun, a CTAHR alumna, retired in 2010 after almost 33 years of dedicated service to the University of Hawai‘i, 28 1/2 of those years at CTAHR. In her role of student services specialist, she had touched many lives at CTAHR and had built valuable relationships with internal and external organizations, agencies, and countless individuals in the community. She had always been resourceful, reliable, committed and willing to give her time to help others in need. Allene exemplified and embodied the true meaning of generosity.

In her honor CTAHR created a scholarship with the hope that this scholarship named for her would eventually touch many lives and leave a lasting impression, as Allene had done.

Her legacy of generosity will support the Allene E. F. Chun Endowed Scholarship and provide critically needed financial assistance for deserving students.
